Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Fourteenth-ranked Pilar (9-16) made lots of trouble for first ranked Racing (21-4) on Wednesday. The visitors from Chivilcoy managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Emilio Stucky (198-1994) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds. American center Dishon Lowery (200-1998, college: OKBU) produced 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Racing have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-4 record. Newly promoted Pilar keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Racing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pilar will play at home against Pergamino (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Zarate. Third ranked Zarate Basket faced second-ranked Ciclista. Host Zarate Basket (18-7) smashed guests from Juninense (19-8) 103-56. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ciclista. Center Sebastian Chaine (201-1986) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Damian Pineda contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) answered with 13 points for Ciclista. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Zarate Basket. They maintain third place with 18-7 record having seven points less than leader Racing. Ciclista at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. Zarate Basket will play against Rocamora (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ciclista will play against Lanus (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Salta, where higher ranked Montmartre (10-14) lost to fifteenth ranked Salta Basket (8-16) in a road game 80-85 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for Jara Agustin who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds. Richard Granberry responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Montmartre's coach Gabriel Albornoz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Salta Basket maintains fifteenth place with 8-16 record. Newly promoted Montmartre keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Libertad and Rivadavia. Salta Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Montmartre will play against Tucuman (#16) and hope to secure a win.

Other games of round 35 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Estudiantes C. was defeated by Lanus in Buenos Aires 94-89. GELP beat Estudiantes C. at home 84-73. Parque Sur lost to Dep Viedma on the opponent's court 74-84. Dep Norte managed to outperform CAO Ceres in a home game 79-65. Parque Sur managed to beat Villa Mitre on the road 79-68. Barrio Parque crushed CAO Ceres on its own court 100-80. Pico FC was beaten by Ciclista in Juninense 88-83.



Lanus - Estudiantes C. 94-89

There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 16th ranked Estudiantes C. (7-15) was defeated by fifth ranked Lanus (15-8) 94-89 on Monday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for American forward Phil Bledsoe (198, college: GSC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Jorge Banegas (190-1993, agency: BIG) helped adding 26 points. Five Lanus players scored in double figures. Lanus' coach Sebastian Saborido used entire bench in such tough game. Alvaro Yarza responded with 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and point guard Matias Alluchon (185-2000) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Lanus maintains fifth place with 15-8 record. Loser Estudiantes C. keeps the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Lanus will meet league's second-placed Ciclista in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Estudiantes C. will play against Quilmes MP (#12) and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in La Plata where tenth ranked GELP (11-14) defeated 16th ranked Estudiantes C. (7-15) 84-73 on Tuesday. It was a great evening for point guard Carlos Gianella (181) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Power forward Marcos Helman (195-1999) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Matias Alluchon (185-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Alvaro Yarza produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for GELP. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Echague. Loser Estudiantes C. keeps the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. GELP will meet higher ranked H.Americano (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Estudiantes C. will play against Quilmes MP (#12) and hope to secure a win.
