Olimpico's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Atenas (1-6) 85-81 on Thursday. Jeremias Barco notched a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort. Olimpico's coach Jose Maria Gerez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 30 points and 9 rebounds by Tiago Tomatis did not help to save the game for Atenas. Olimpico (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Penarol. It was Atenas' sixth loss in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with six games lost. Olimpico will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Atenas will play against San Lorenzo (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
