The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Instituto (10-2) in Corrientes on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by seventeenth ranked San Martin (3-7) 74-73. San Martin made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. stepped up and scored 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and chipped in 20 points. San Martin's coach Gustavo Mascaro used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Jerson Caicedo responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds. San Martin moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Argentino. Instituto at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Instituto maintains first place with 10-2 record. Ferro lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. A very close game took place in Buenos Aires between San Lorenzo and Boca Jrs. Eighth ranked San Lorenzo (6-5) got a very close victory on the road over 16th ranked Boca Jrs (3-9). San Lorenzo managed to escape with a 1-point win 52-51 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Joaquin Actis fired 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Tiago Drocezesky produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. San Lorenzo moved-up to seventh place. Boca Jrs. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Atenas. San Lorenzo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boca Jrs. will play against Olimpico (#19) in La Banda and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 13: bottom-ranked Olimpico was destroyed by Obera on the opponent's court 90-50. La Union outscored Olimpico in a home game 89-68. Penarol recorded a loss to Platense on the road 75-69. Atenas was crushed by Ferro on its own court 67-98. Gimnasia beat Racing Ch. in Comodoro Rivadavia 82-78.

Obera - Olimpico 90-50

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 19th ranked Olimpico's (1-9) road loss to eighteenth ranked Obera (2-6) 50-90 on Friday. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Obera will meet higher ranked Platense (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Platense outrebounded Penarol 47-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. Forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-2004) fired 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Joaquin Goncalves chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Platense players scored in double figures. Platense's coach Martin De Zan used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) produced 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Tobias Sirochinsky (-2006) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Platense have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Penarol keeps the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with Quimsa.
