Platense lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play at home against Atenas (#18) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
Important game to mention about took place in Mar del Plata. Fourteenth ranked Penarol (5-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 18th ranked Atenas (3-12) 64-61 on Friday evening. Point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Teo Martinez contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Penarol's coach Tomas Sirochinsky allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Ecuadorian forward Carlos Hurtado (212-2006) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds for Atenas. Penarol moved-up to thirteenth place. Atenas lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighteenth position with 12 games lost. Camilo Rodriguez stepped up and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Ferro's coach Juan Di Gilio felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jeremias Barco responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Ferro. They moved-up to sixth place. Olimpico lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Ferro will meet at home Quimsa (#17) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Olimpico will have a break next round.

Other games of round 17 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

There was no surprise in Almagra where 10th ranked Argentino (6-8) was defeated by eighth ranked San Lorenzo (8-5) 82-78 on Sunday. San Lorenzo forced 23 Argentino turnovers. Strangely Argentino outrebounded San Lorenzo 47-25 including a 37-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Valentino Nesci stepped up and scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Joaquin Actis chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. San Lorenzo's coach Juan Veira used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. point guard Gian Rossi (185-2005) responded with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Dylan Perez scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for San Lorenzo. They moved-up to seventh place. Argentino at the other side keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. San Lorenzo will meet at home higher ranked Regatas (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Argentino will play against La Union (#3) and hope to secure a win.
