Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Berazategui (8-5) and Lanus (4-12), which took place in Buenos Aires. Higher ranked Berazategui lost at home to sixteenth ranked Lanus 44-52 on Saturday. Lanus forced 23 Berazategui turnovers. Strangely Berazategui outrebounded Lanus 49-34 including a 39-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Camila Peri (182-2000) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Berenice Lopez (168-1999) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Magali Vilches (182-2002) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds for Berazategui. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lanus moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Bochas. Berazategui at the other side dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Union Florida. Lanus will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Berazategui will play at home against Bigua (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
Another upset was a game between Independiente (8-8) and Bigua (5-9), which took place in Neuquen. Higher ranked Independiente lost to fourteenth ranked Bigua in a road game 67-82. It was a great evening for Chilean point guard Javiera Campos (163-2002) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Agustina Garcia helped adding 19 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Martina Torres (180-2002) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Independiente's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bigua maintains fourteenth place with 5-9 record. Independiente at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Quimsa and Avellaneda. Bigua will play against higher ranked Berazategui (#8) in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Independiente will have a break next round.
Another upset was a game between Avellaneda (8-8) and San Jose (7-9), which took place in . Higher ranked Avellaneda lost to thirteenth ranked San Jose in a road game 62-69 on Monday. It was an exceptional evening for Romina Moreira who led the winners and scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Isabella Boullon came up with 7 points and 10 rebounds for Avellaneda in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. San Jose have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Gorriones. Loser Avellaneda keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Quimsa and Independiente.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 23: Bochas was smashed by Gorriones on the road 75-48. Rocamora lost to defending champion Ferro on its own court 60-103. Bottom-ranked Riachuelo unfortunately lost to Hindu in Chaco 58-69. Instituto rolled over Riachuelo at home 87-41. Avellaneda defeated Gorriones on the opponent's court 70-65. El Talar beat Union Florida in a home game 90-85.
The most impressive performance of 23th round was 15 points by Milagros Morell of Avellaneda.

Gorriones - Bochas 75-48

No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Gorriones (7-9) crushed 15th ranked Bochas (4-12) in Rio Cuarto 75-48 on Thursday. Gorriones forced 20 Bochas turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Jacqueline Soto (-1997, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds. Guard Valentina Numa (173-2000, agency: BIG) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Gorriones players scored in double figures. Renata Niveyro came up with 11 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Debora Coli (180-2001) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Bochas in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorriones maintains twelfth place with 7-9 record, which they share with San Jose. Bochas lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Lanus.

Very expected game when 17th ranked Rocamora (1-13) was smashed by fourth ranked Ferro (11-5) in Concepcion de Urug. 103-60 on Saturday. Ferro made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Ferro outrebounded Rocamora 54-36 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ferro looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Rocamora's players. It was an exceptional evening for center Julia Fernandez (185-2004) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Dalma Piri (175-2001) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Guard Santina Cherot (168-2009) came up with 20 points and guard Paula Santini (165-2006) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Rocamora in the defeat. There was no surprise when 10th ranked Union Florida (8-5) lost to fifth ranked El Talar (9-6) in Caba 85-90 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. El Talar looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Agustina Marin (170-2003) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!). Venezuelan Aguehil Fajardo (183-1999) accounted for 27 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Carla Miculka (174-1993) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Sol Depetris (171-2007) added 26 points respectively for Union Florida in the defeat. Union Florida's coach Nicolas Grosso tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. El Talar maintains fifth place with 9-6 record.
