The Regular Season in La Liga Argentina just ended. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked San Isidro as it allowed them to take a leadership position. San Isidro edged 16th ranked Colon in San Francisco 82-79. San Isidro outrebounded Colon 39-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Point guard Nahuel Buchaillot (178-2000) scored 26 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American Chris Hooper (198-1991, college: SFC) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. San Isidro's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Hans Feder responded with 27 points. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with C.Entrerriano. Colon at the other side keeps the sixteenth place with 21 games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked La Union (21-10) against sixth ranked Pico FC (20-11) on Thursday night. Visiting La Union was defeated by Pico FC in General Pico 81-65. Point guard Juan Rodriguez (178-1991) notched 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Latraius Mosley supported him with 20 points and 6 steals. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by Bolivian forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) did not help to save the game for La Union. Pico FC moved-up to fourth place. La Union at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Barrio Parque.
La Liga Argentina top team - Provincial (24-8) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked Racing A. (16-14) in Buenos Aires 77-63. Gonzalo Torres fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Fernando Fuenmayor produced 16 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Racing A.'s coach Juan Boadaz rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Provincial maintains first position with 24-8 record. Loser Racing A. dropped to the eighth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Comunicaciones.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 58: Estudiantes T. won against Las Heras on the opponent's court 102-89. GELP managed to outperform Quilmes in a home game 84-71. Quilmes managed to beat El Talar on the road 82-70. C.Entrerriano defeated Ciclista on its own court 95-79. La Union beat Centenario VT in Colon 78-76. Comunicaciones won against Jujuy at home 84-68. Estudiantes T. unfortunately lost to Rivadavia on the opponent's court 82-88.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 10 points and 14 rebounds by Zondrick Garrett of Rivadavia.

Very expected game when 17th ranked Las Heras (6-26) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Estudiantes T. (16-15) 102-89 on Thursday. Strangely Las Heras outrebounded Estudiantes T. 42-26 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Estudiantes T. shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Joe Hampton (203-1998, college: LBSU) fired 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Patricio Aranda (197-1989) chipped in 15 points. American-Guyanese power forward Sam DeSouza (203, college: Bridgeport) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and guard Emiliano Correa (188-1991) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Estudiantes T. maintains ninth position with 16-15 record, which they share with Villa S.Martin. Las Heras lost fourteenth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with 26 games lost.

GELP looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Ezequiel Paz (190-2001, agency: Interperformances) fired 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. Cuban Joan Gutierrez (192-2003) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. GELP's coach Fabian Renda allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Pablo Alderete (203-1993) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Joaquin Rios (193-1995) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GELP have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 19-12 record.
