NPWBA Round 10 (Regular Season): Ballers defeat Defenders in the game between Top 4 teams

Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

An interesting game for Ballers (11-1) which hosted in one of their biggest challengers Defenders (7-5). First ranked Ballers managed to get a 7-point victory 65-58. Ballers forced 24 Defenders turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Valarie Nesbitt who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Trinity Bodie contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international forward Philicia Kelly (175-1989, college: Okla City) replied with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for Defenders. Ballers have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Defenders at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost.
Bottom-ranked Sparks managed to get a third victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they won against fourth-ranked Flyers 65-60. Vincinique Dames had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Phillipa Ferguson chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international center Britenique Harrison (193-1992, college: Benedict) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 24 rebounds and 7 blocks. Sparks (3-9) moved-up to third place, which they share with Eagles. Flyers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost.
The game in was also quite interesting. Third ranked Eagles (3-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Sparks (3-9). Eagles defeated Sparks 78-62 on Saturday. Marvia Dean notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by Vincinique Dames did not help to save the game for Sparks. Eagles maintains third position with 3-9 record having eight points less than leader Ballers, which they share with defeated Sparks.

In the last game of round 10 bottom-ranked Sparks were smashed by Defenders on the road 79-41.
The most impressive performance of 10th round was 25 points and 17 rebounds by Johndell Minus of Defenders.

Flyers - Sparks 60-65

Bottom-ranked Sparks managed to get a third victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they won against fourth-ranked Flyers 65-60. Sparks outrebounded Flyers 67-40 including a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Vincinique Dames had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Phillipa Ferguson chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The game in was also quite interesting. Third ranked Eagles (3-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Sparks (3-9). Eagles defeated Sparks 78-62 on Saturday. Eagles looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Sparks' players. The former international center Marvia Dean (183-1991) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Christine Sinclair (-1980) supported her with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by Vincinique Dames did not help to save the game for Sparks. Jada Francis added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Eagles maintains third position with 3-9 record having eight points less than leader Ballers, which they share with defeated Sparks.

Defenders - Sparks 79-41

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Defenders (7-5) crushed at home bottom-ranked Sparks (3-9) 79-41 on Tuesday. Defenders held Sparks to an opponent 15.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Sparks 74-44 including a 54-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Defenders looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Sparks' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Defenders made 11 blocks. Johndell Minus notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Roberta Quant (-1976) supported her with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Even 13 points by Vincinique Dames did not help to save the game for Sparks. Jada Francis added 12 points for lost side. Defenders moved-up to second place. Loser Sparks stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. They share it with Eagles.
