An interesting game for Ballers (11-1) which hosted in one of their biggest challengers Defenders (7-5). First ranked Ballers managed to get a 7-point victory 65-58. Ballers forced 24 Defenders turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Valarie Nesbitt who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Trinity Bodie contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international forward Philicia Kelly (175-1989, college: Okla City) replied with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for Defenders. Ballers have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Defenders at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost.
Bottom-ranked Sparks managed to get a third victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they won against fourth-ranked Flyers 65-60. Vincinique Dames had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Phillipa Ferguson chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international center Britenique Harrison (193-1992, college: Benedict) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 24 rebounds and 7 blocks. Sparks (3-9) moved-up to third place, which they share with Eagles. Flyers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost.
The game in was also quite interesting. Third ranked Eagles (3-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Sparks (3-9). Eagles defeated Sparks 78-62 on Saturday. Marvia Dean notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by Vincinique Dames did not help to save the game for Sparks. Eagles maintains third position with 3-9 record having eight points less than leader Ballers, which they share with defeated Sparks.
In the last game of round 10 bottom-ranked Sparks were smashed by Defenders on the road 79-41.
The most impressive performance of 10th round was 25 points and 17 rebounds by Johndell Minus of Defenders.
