The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Corinthians (3-1) in Araraquara on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by top-ranked SESI (4-0) 69-47. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Corinthians. It was a key game for the second position in the league. SESI held Corinthians to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Corinthians 40-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Evelyn Mariano (180-1997) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Maila Ciciardi (168-1993) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Ariadna Felipe (180-1983) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds for Corinthians. SESI have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Corinthians at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Ourinhos. SESI are looking forward to face Sao Jose (#5) on the road in the next round. Corinthians will play against Mesquita and is hoping to win this game.

The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Brasilia, where they defeated Cerrado (1-4) 66-62. Worth to mention a great performance of center Brenda Barros (185-2000) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and Mayra Caicedo who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side naturalized American swingman Mia Hopkins (180-1994, college: Toronto) responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds by Thailane Monteiro did not help to save the game for Maringa. Maringa's coach Rafael Oliveira tested twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Santo Andre (1-3) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Mesquita and Campinas. Loser Maringa keeps the sixth position with two games lost. Santo Andre will meet at home Cerrado (#10) in the next round. Maringa will play against Ourinhos (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Other games in round 4 were not that significant. Ourinhos smashed Blumenau on the road 82-57. Sampaio destroyed Sao Jose on its own court 79-57. Campinas managed to outperform Mesquita in a road game 68-67. Cerrado recorded a loss to Sao Jose at home 57-73.
The most impressive performance of 4th round was 23 points and 7 steals by Jennifer Munoz of Sao Jose.
