Moura's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

28-year old power forward Aline Moura (185-F/C-1997) had a great game in the last round for SESI Araraquara Basquete and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
She had a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds, while her team lost the game against Mesquita (#7, 6-10) 69-75. SESI moved-up to the 3rd position in Brazilian LBF. They are still close to the very top. But there are still few teams in the league, which SESI can lose the games to. Now they are 13-3 and hopefully next round will be better. Moura turned to be SESI's top player in her first season with the team. Moura has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 15.1ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.7rpg) and averages solid 55.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Vanessa Goncalves (180-F-1994) of Cerrado Basquete Brasilia. She is international forward in her first season at Cerrado. In the last game Goncalves recorded an impressive 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Cerrado to another comfortable win 81-65 over slightly higher-ranked Campinas (#2, 14-3) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Cerrado consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. Her team's 12-5 record is not bad at all. Goncalves is one of the most experienced players at Cerrado and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.3ppg (#4). She also registered 8.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Connie Clarke (178-G/F-2001, agency: Interperformances) of Sodie Mesquita (#7). Clarke showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Mesquita, leading her team to a 75-69 win against the higher-ranked SESI (#3, 13-3). The chances of Mesquita not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Clarke could try to bring Mesquita's a little bit higher in the standings. Clarke has individually a great season in Brazil. After 16 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.7ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 9.3rpg (4th best). Clarke attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.
