Brazilian Paulista round 7 best performance: Aline Moura

International Power forward Aline Moura (185-F/C-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for SESI Araraquara Basquete, receiving a Hoops Agents Paulista Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Sao Jose (#6, 3-4) 72-64. SESI maintains the 4th position in Brazilian Paulista. They are still close to the very top. SESI would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Moura as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Aline Moura averages this season 8.4ppg and 6.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Brenda Bleidao (177-SF-2003) of AD Santo Andre. Bleidao had a very good evening with 17 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Santo Andre to edge Pro-Esport S. (#9, 0-6) 54-48. Santo Andre's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bleidao is a newcomer at Santo Andre, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#2). She also registered 9.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Italian Izabella Sangalli (182-SF-1995) of league's second-best Unimed Campinas Basquete. Sangalli scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Sangalli's great performance the Campinas lost 73-79 to #1 ranked Corinthians. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Campinas had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Sangalli's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Sangalli has a great season in Brazil. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.0ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 9.5rpg (3rd best) and assists with 5.0apg (7th best). She also has 2.7spg and a FGP of 50.7%. Izabella Sangalli has also Brazilian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
