Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Flamengo (10-1) in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked Brasilia (8-2) 85-83. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Flamengo. Brasilia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian-Italian point guard Facundo Corvalan (190-1998) helped adding 22 points. The former international point guard Alexey Borges (185-1995) responded with 9 points and 11 assists. Flamengo's coach Sergio Hernandez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Brasilia have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 8-2 record having just three points less than leader Flamengo. Flamengo at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Brasilia are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Vasco (#20) in Rio de Janeiro in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Flamengo will play at home against Rio Claro (#18) and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game took place in Fortaleza where higher ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (5-6) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Fortaleza (3-6) 91-72. It was an exceptional evening for forward Bernardo Da Silva (206-2000, college: Hawaii) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Jack Gohlke accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds. came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for Bauru in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cearense moved-up to fourteenth place. Bauru at the other side keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Cearense will play against higher ranked Sesi/Franca (#4) in Sao Paulo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bauru will play on the road against the league's second-placed Minas (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

The best player for the winners was Erik McCree who scored 14 points. Vitor Silva produced 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Minas maintains second place with 9-1 record behind leader Flamengo. Loser Paulistano dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Minas will meet at home Bauru (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Paulistano will play against Caxias do Sul and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 11: Bauru was destroyed by UniFacisa on the opponent's court 86-66. Cearense unfortunately lost to Sao Jose in a home game 77-86. Brasilia managed to beat Botafogo on the road 82-70. Corinthians crushed Pato on its own court 87-68. Sesi/Franca beat UniFacisa in Sao Paulo 93-81. Cruzeiro was destroyed by Paulistano at home 86-106. Rio Claro unfortunately lost to Botafogo on the opponent's court 61-74.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 29 points and 4 assists by Gemadinha Sacco of Rio Claro.



Minas - Paulistano 94-63

Second ranked Minas (9-1) crushed at home 10th ranked Paulistano (6-5) by 31 points 94-63, which is the biggest margin this round on Tuesday night. Minas dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Paulistano's 22. Minas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Erik McCree (202-1993, college: La Tech) who scored 14 points. His fellow American import swingman Jordan Williams (196-1992, college: N.Texas) chipped in 15 points. Four Minas players scored in double figures.
