Yohanna Morton (172-G-87, college: RMU) provided 22 points to lead the winners. Dominican Republic accounted for a 39-27 halftime lead. Costa Rica narrowed the gap in the fourth period but could not avoid the loss. Elemy Colome (173-G-96) had 15 points in the win. Natalia Galvez (170-G-84) answered with 17 points for Costa Rica. El Salvador - U.S. Virgin Islands 68-80 US Virgin Islands earned the second place in the Centrobasket tournament. They finished the campaign with a comfortable rout of El Salvador. Puerto Rico qualified to 2021 FIBA AmeriCup with the win. Puerto Rico accumulated a 46-26 halftime lead. They held Costa Rica to just 13 points in the second half and raced to the triumph. Isalys Quinones (190-C/F-97, college: Dartmouth) accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds for Puerto Rico. Tayra Melendez (183-G-93, college: URI) added 11 points for Puerto Rico.
