The Centrobasket Championship for Women draw was held today at the Puerto Rican Olympic Committee in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This tournament will be played at Palacio de los Deportes in Mayagez, Puerto Rico from July 10-14.
The eight participating countries were divided into two groups of four teams each.
FIBA-Americas Technical Director, Mr. Anibal Garcia, gave the rules of the draw and proceeded to divide the teams.
The group composition and scheduled is as follows:
Group A: Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Grupo B: Guatemala, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent & Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago.

Saturday, July 10:
Mxico vs. Dominican Republic
US Virgin Islands vs. Jamaica
St. Vincent & Grenadines vs. Guatemala
Trinidad & Tobago vs. Puerto Rico
Sunday, July 11:
Jamaica vs. Mxico

Guatemala vs. Trinidad & Tobago
Puerto Rico vs. St. Vincent & Grenadines

The two best teams per group will reach the semifinals and the third and fourth place teams go to the Reclassification Round (5-8)

Finals:
Bronze: L15 vs. L16

The time of the games will be announced later.
This tournament qualifies the top three teams for the 2011 FIBA-Americas Championship for Women (Pre-Olympic), two (2) for the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico and all the teams (8) to the Central American and Caribbean games that will also be played in Mayagez.
