Guatemala - Cuba 39-99
Cuba thumped Guatemala to clinch the top position in Group A. Cuba recorded a comfortable 48:26 halftime lead. They went on a 29:6 run in the third term to clear off for good. Anisleidys Galindo (181-SG-89) tallied 16 points, while Suchitel Avila (184-F/C-82) topscored with 18 points for Cuba. Linda Gonzalez (178-C-92) responded with 14 points for Guatemala.

Group B
Costa Rica - Bahamas 57-60
Bahamas nipped Costa Rica to celebrate the first win in Group B. Bahamas got to a strong start. They established a 32:22 halftime lead. Costa Rica pulled within 3 points at the final intermission. Bahamas however hung on throughout the fourth period and rallied to the win. Tracy Lewis (180-F/G-90) netted 15 points, while Sha-Londa Neely (187-F/C-97) added 14 points for Bahamas. Natalia Galvez (170-G-84) answered with 16 points for Costa Rica.

Puerto Rico - Mexico 71-66
Puerto Rico topped Mexico to remain undefeated in Manati. The hosts used a 26:16 run in the second term to ensure a 12-point halftime advantage. Mexico pulled within 9 points at the final break. The visitors got closer in the fourth term but could not avoid the defeat. Jennifer O'Neill (165-PG-90, college: Kentucky, agency: Legends Sports) had 21 points and 12 rebounds for Puerto Rico. Jazmon Gwathmey (188-G-93, college: JMU) added 9 points for the winners. Brisa Silva (170-G-84, college: Oklahoma St.) and Gladiana Avila (177-F-94) replied with 16 points each for Mexico.
