Dominican Republic advanced to the Final of Centrobasket 2024. They edged El Salvador 85-65. It was a tough start for the favorites that only led 27-26 at the end of the first quarter. The second period however allowed them to take full control of the court with a 25-18 followed by 23-9 surge in the third quarter.
Esmery Martinez (188-F-2000, college: Arizona) top-scored for the winners with 27 points and Cesarina Capellan (178-SF-2003) had 19. Hillary Martínez answered with 20 points in the losing effort.
