Municipal C. - Tomas L. 70-83 Very important is a home loss of third ranked Municipal C. (1-2) against seventh ranked Tomas L. (1-3) on Saturday night. Host Municipal C. was defeated by Tomas L. in 83-70. Tomas L. forced 19 Municipal C. turnovers. Municipal C. was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by forward Andres Lavin (-1995) who scored that evening 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and forward Esteban Castro (-1999) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Tomas L. players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by Argentinian forward Andres Martinez (-1987) did not help to save the game for Municipal C.. Center Matias Villagran (199-1988) added 7 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tomas L. maintains seventh position with 1-3 record. Municipal C. at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Liceo Curico and Luis Matte. Tomas L. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Municipal C. will play on the road against the league's leader Liceo PN (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Sergio Ceppi forced 20 Luis Matte turnovers. Strangely Luis Matte outrebounded Sergio Ceppi 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass.
