The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Arabe de Valp. (2-1) on the court of fifth ranked Luis Matte on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Luis Matte 71-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Arabe de Valp.. Venezuelan Cristhian Poleo (-1992) stepped up and scored 9 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and Franco Garrido (181) chipped in 10 points and 8 assists. Forward Ricardo Jadue (-1998) responded with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Luis Matte maintains fifth place with 2-2 record. Arabe de Valp. at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Colo Colo and Truenos. Luis Matte are looking forward to face Brisas (#7) in Santiago in the next round. Arabe de Valp. will play at home against Boston College (#6) and is hoping to win this game.

Boston College was defeated at home 60-71 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Boris Guerra (-1987) nailed 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Gabriel Gonzalez accounted for 12 points and 11 rebounds. Lucas Marquez (196) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for Boston College in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sergio Ceppi (3-2) moved-up to third place. Boston College at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Brisas. Very important is a road loss of third ranked Aleman (2-3) against fourth ranked Colo Colo (2-1) on Sunday night. Visiting Aleman was crushed by Colo Colo in Santiago 91-48. The best player for the winners was Eduardo Sepulveda who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Colo Colo's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Jose Campos produced 16 points and 4 assists for the guests. Colo Colo moved-up to second place, which they share with Arabe de Valp. and Truenos. Aleman lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Colo Colo will meet Liceo Curico (#5) on the road in the next round. Aleman will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 5: Municipal C. lost to undefeated Liceo PN on the opponent's court 49-110. Sportiva Italiana outscored Brisas in a home game 108-74. Liceo Curico recorded a loss to Truenos on the road 73-63.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 18 points and 14 rebounds by Martin Morales of Truenos.

Liceo PN - Municipal C. 110-49

Very expected game in Temuco where 5th ranked Municipal C. (1-3) was crushed by leader Liceo PN (5-0) 110-49 on Saturday. Liceo PN dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Municipal C.'s 26. Liceo PN forced 32 Municipal C. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Municipal C.'s players. The best player for the winners was the former international center Sebastian Silva (187-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Argentinian center Franco Barroso (207-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Liceo PN players scored in double figures. Center Matias Villagran (199-1988) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Diego Fuentes (-1993) added 10 points respectively for the guests.
