Sergio Ceppi - Arabe de Valp. 85-76 The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Sergio Ceppi's (4-2) home victory over 4th placed Arabe de Valp. (2-3) in Santiago 85-76 on Saturday. Sergio Ceppi forced 19 Arabe de Valp. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Boris Guerra (-1987) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Adrian Toro (176-1989) accounted for 9 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Four Sergio Ceppi players scored in double figures. Pedro Soares came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and forward Nicolas Vargas (-2001) added 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for Arabe de Valp. in the defeat. Sergio Ceppi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Arabe de Valp. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost. They outrebounded Boston College 47-35 including 37 on the defensive glass. Brisas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Boston College's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Felipe Oyarzun (187-1989) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Yoel Leon contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Brisas players scored in double figures. Lucas Marquez (196) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Yves Orelus added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Boston College. Boston College's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Brisas (2-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aleman and Municipal C. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Venezuelan Keinder Albarran who led the winners and scored 43 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Haitian forward Heder Louis accounted for 16 points, 28 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Liceo Curico players scored in double figures. Salvadorean Jose Figueroa (-2004) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and forward Rafael Chaparro (-2002) added 15 points respectively for Aleman in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liceo Curico moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Arabe de Valp. Aleman lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Brisas and Municipal C.. Liceo Curico will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aleman will play against Municipal C. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. The former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-1986) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Center Matias Villagran (199-1988) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and center Marko Castro (192-1988) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Municipal C. in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Colo Colo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-1 record behind leader Liceo PN. Loser Municipal C. dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Aleman and Brisas. Colo Colo will meet at home Tomas L. (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Municipal C. will play against Aleman in Puerto Varas and it may be a tough game between close rivals. It was an exceptional evening for forward Martin Morales (-2002) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Nick Morales (187-1985) accounted for 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Truenos' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Esteban Castro (-1999) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Andres Lavin (-1995) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for Tomas L. in the defeat. Truenos moved-up to third place, which they share with Stadio Italiano and Luis Matte. Loser Tomas L. keeps the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Boston College. Truenos will meet at home league's leader Liceo PN in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tomas L. will play against the league's second-placed Colo Colo (#2) in Santiago and hope to win that game.
