LNB2 Round 7 of Regular Season

LNB 2 is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 7 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

LNB 2 round 7 most important game was a victory of Brisas over 6th ranked Boston College 78-48 on Saturday night. They outrebounded Boston College 47-35 including 37 on the defensive glass. Brisas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Boston College's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Felipe Oyarzun (187-1989) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Yoel Leon contributed with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Lucas Marquez (196) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds for Boston College. Boston College's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Brisas (2-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aleman and Municipal C. Boston College at the other side dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Tomas L.. Brisas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Sergio Ceppi.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Stadio Italiano (3-3) against fifth ranked Luis Matte (3-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Stadio Italiano was defeated by Luis Matte in a tough game on the road 65-73. It was a great evening for guard Leonel Duhalde (-1990) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. Alvaro Guzman helped adding 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side guard Gabriel Soto (-2002) responded with 13 points and 4 assists. Luis Matte moved-up to third place, which they share with Stadio Italiano and Truenos. Luis Matte will play against league's leader Sportiva Italiana in Valparaiso in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stadio Italiano's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Boston College.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Aleman (2-4) against sixth ranked Liceo Curico (2-3) on Saturday night. Host Aleman was crushed by Liceo Curico in Puerto Varas 100-68. It was an exceptional evening for Keinder Albarran who led the winners and scored 43 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Jose Figueroa came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for Aleman in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Liceo Curico moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Arabe de Valp. Aleman lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Brisas and Municipal C.. Liceo Curico will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aleman will play against Municipal C. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Arabe de Valp. was beaten by Sergio Ceppi on the road 85-76. Colo Colo destroyed Municipal C. on its own court 85-58. Tomas L. unfortunately lost to Truenos in Talca 61-65.
The most impressive performance of 7th round was 22 points and 9 rebounds by Martin Morales of Truenos.
