The Regular Season in LNB2 just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Sportiva Italiana defeated Arabe de Valp. in Valparaiso 89-82. Sportiva Italiana forced 29 Arabe de Valp. turnovers. American Devante Wallace (196-1992, college: High Point, agency: BIG) fired 30 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian Matias La Rivera (-2006) chipped in 17 points and 7 steals. Sportiva Italiana's coach Gianluca Pozo used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian Estanislao Crespi produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds for lost side.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Liceo Curico on the court of Constitucion. Visitors were defeated by Constitucion 95-89. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Carlos Aranda (200-1992) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Santino Vercelli contributed with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Sebastian Riquelme (188-1995) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds for Liceo Curico.
An interesting game where Temuco beat host Omega with 16-point difference 90-74 on Saturday evening. Celneque Bobbitt stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. At the losing side Antone Robinson responded with 41 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds.

Other games of round 1 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Illaplel defeated The Sharks in a road game 94-86. Humboldt beat Quilpue at home 64-55. San Luis destroyed Arturo Prat on the opponent's court 90-57. Winless Stadio Italiano lost to undefeated Sergio Ceppi in a home game 84-90. Hrvatski Sokol managed to beat Luis Matte on the road 87-81. Aleman crushed Alemana on its own court 93-46. Winless Municipal C. lost to undefeated Truenos in Talca 45-78. Winless La Union lost to undefeated Huachipato at home 75-83. Sportiva Italiana managed to outperform Illaplel on the opponent's court 79-63.




Constitucion - Liceo Curico 95-89

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Liceo Curico on the court of Constitucion. Visitors were defeated by Constitucion 95-89. Constitucion players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Carlos Aranda (200-1992) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian Santino Vercelli contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. An interesting game where Temuco beat host Omega with 16-point difference 90-74 on Saturday evening. Temuco dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Omega's 26. Temuco looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Celneque Bobbitt stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Jorge Manriquez (-1994) chipped in 15 points and 11 assists. Five Temuco players scored in double figures. At the losing side Antone Robinson responded with 41 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and guard Benjamin Cabello (-1999) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when The Sharks were defeated at home by Illaplel 94-86 on Sunday.
