Top ranked Temuco (4-2) recorded its second loss on the court of third ranked Escolar Ale. on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Escolar Ale. 80-73. Escolar Ale. made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Argentinian Tomas Sterz fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Cayman Islands Sebastian Mena (-1994) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Celneque Bobbitt produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. Despite that victory Escolar Ale. went down to sixth position due to points difference. Temuco at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. Escolar Ale.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
Another exciting game was between fourth ranked Arabe de Valp. and 3rd placed Humboldt where Arabe de Valp. (4-3) crushed Humboldt (3-4) on the road with 24-point difference 85-61. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian Estanislao Crespi who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Benjamin Mondaca contributed with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Nelson Matos (-2000) answered with 18 points for Humboldt. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Truenos - Alemana 74-77

A very close game took place in Talca between Alemana and Truenos. Fifth ranked Alemana (3-2) got a very close victory on the road over much higher ranked Truenos (4-3). Alemana managed to escape with a 3-point win 77-74 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for American forward Kaleb Vaughn (198-1996, college: Lake Erie) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists.
