Undefeated leader Titanes delivered the seventh consecutive win on Wednesday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Corsarios (2-5) 98-90 in Cartagena. Strangely Corsarios outrebounded Titanes 39-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Dominican-Puerto Rican swingman Jonathan Rodriguez (196-1987, college: Campbell) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Jhornan Zamora (196-1989) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Puerto Rican forward Wilfredo Rodriguez (198-1994, college: Binghamton) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Titanes (7-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Corsarios lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Cimarrones. Titanes are looking forward to face Motilones (#6) in Cucuta in the next round where they are favorite. Corsarios will play on the road against Piratas in Bogota and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
Bottom-ranked Condores (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-67 loss to fifth ranked Piratas (5-2) in Cundinamarca. It was a good game for American guard Tristan Jarrett (193-1998, college: Jackson St.) who led his team to a victory with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Sebastian Valencia contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Venezuelan power forward Adrian Espinoza (210-1997) replied with 9 points and 12 rebounds for Condores. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Piratas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Team Cali. Condores at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Piratas will play against Corsarios (#9) in Cartagena in the next round where they are favorite. Condores will play on the road against Bucaros in Bucaramanga and hope to get finally their first victory.

Rodrigo Sanchez had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Kylon Higgins with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Storm maintains second position with 6-1 record behind leader Titanes, which they share with Cafeteros. Sabios lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Tigrillos. Storm will meet at home Tigrillos (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sabios will play against Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 6 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Cafeteros crushed Tigrillos in Armenia 81-46. Cimarrones were beaten by Team Cali at home 70-83. Bucaros lost to Motilones on the opponent's court 81-90.

Cafeteros dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tigrillos' 22. They outrebounded Tigrillos 49-31 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Venezuelan power forward Jesus Martinez (206-1986) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Team Cali have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Team Cali went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Piratas.
