Power forward Juan Guerrero (203-PF-1993) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Metros de Santiago, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (39 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Leones (#6, 2-2) 122-119. It allowed Metros to take over top position in the Dominican Rep. LNB. Metros have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Guerrero had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Metros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Juan Guerrero has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.2ppg. Guerrero is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 8.4rpg) and averages impressive 63.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Trahson Burrell (201-F/G-1992) of Leones de Santo Domingo. Burrell had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Leones was edged by the higher-ranked Metros (#1, 4-1) 122-119. Leones is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Burrell is one of the most experienced players at Leones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#5). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Yeison Colome (190-SG-1996) of league's second-best Caneros Del Este. Colome got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was a key player of Caneros, leading his team to a 88-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Soles (#7, 1-4). Caneros needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Colome has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (8th best).
