Ferreiras' double-double lands him (Second Stage) Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

22-year old power forward Luismal Ferreiras (200-PF-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Indios de San Francisco and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Titanes (#6, 9-11) with 35-point margin 103-68. It allowed Indios to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Indios has a very solid 15-5 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Ferreiras had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Indios, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ferreiras has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.1ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 62.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Bryce Baez (201-F) of Reales de La Vega. He is American forward in his first season at Reales. In the last game Baez recorded an impressive 24 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Reales was edged by Caneros (11-9) 83-80. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Baez is one of the most experienced players at Reales and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Kevin Obanor (203-F-1999) of Heroes de Moca (#5). Obanor scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Obanor's great performance the Heroes lost 86-92 to Metros (#2, 14-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Obanor has a great season in Dominican Republic. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.0rpg (6th best).

9. Jordan Hall (203-G/F-2002) of Metros - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Lazar Lugic (208-F-1998) of Caneros - 11 points and 8 rebounds
