2029 FIBA AmeriCup Pre-Qualifiers: Dort Anchors Haiti Past Grenada

Haiti wasted no time putting this one out of reach, controlling the game from the opening tip at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on July 10, 2026, and blowing it open with a 17-0 run spanning the first two quarters that turned a comfortable lead into a rout. The final score read 89-70 in Haiti's favor, a Group B result that never featured a single lead change and left Grenada chasing the entire way.
Lee Dort (208-F-2002) set the tone inside, going 8-of-9 from the field for 22 points and 10 rebounds in just over 20 minutes, punctuating the early damage with three first-half dunks. Ronaldo Segu (183-PG-1999, college: Buffalo) was equally sharp from the perimeter, hitting 6-of-9 from three for 18 points, and Simeus Webster (203-C-1998, college: York, NE) added 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting with four assists and two blocks. Cady Lalanne (208-C-1992, college: UMass) rounded out the effort with 10 points and a team-high seven assists. Daniel Regis (201-C-1996, college: Nicholls) fought hard for Grenada with 25 points and nine rebounds, but the deficit built in the opening quarters was simply too much to overcome a second straight loss for Grenada in this window after falling to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
