Argentina outscored Dominican Republic 90-78 in Group B of the AmeriCup 2022. They started with a narrow 25-24 run and added massive 23-16 rally in the second period. Dominican Republic replied with a 20-18 run in in the third quarter, however could not upset the favorites.
Gabriel Deck (198-F-1995) stepped up with 24 points for the winners, whilst Nicolas Laprovittola (190-G-1990) netted 17. Facundo Campazzo (180-PG-1991), Nicolas Brussino (205-SF-1993), Carlos Delfino (198-SF-1982) and Leandro Bolmaro (198-G/F-2000) each nailed 9. Angel Delgado (208-PF-1994, college: Seton Hall) replied with 20 points in a loss and Juan Suero (196-G-1993) produced 18.
