Gabriel Deck (198-F-1995) brought Argentina to the FIBA AmeriCup trophy. He drained a two-point dagger with 16 seconds left on the clock to gift Argentina a 75-73 win. Moreover, he was named MVP of the tournament. Argentina started better and reached a 26-14 lead at the start. Brazil managed to win the rest of the quarters and Lucas Silva (208-C-1995) closed a 10-2 run after a three-pointer. Marcos Delia (209-C-1992) tied it all at 73-73 and then Gabriel Deck scored the last points for the win.
Gabriel Deck top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Nicolas Laprovittola (190-G-1990) notched 15. Facundo Campazzo (180-PG-1991) followed them with 13, whilst Leandro Bolmaro produced 9. Vitor Benite (194-SG-1990, agency: Pro Sports) replied with 18 points in a loss and Marcelinho Huertas (191-PG-1983) had 11.
