2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers: Venezuela pip Chile in overtime battle

Venezuela pipped Chile in overtime battle at the 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers and qualified for the main event. They posted a thrilling 73-72 win in Caracas. Venezuela won the first three quarters of the game and led 10 points entering the fourth period. Chile meanwhile tied it all after a 23-13 run, whilst the hosts needed a 10-9 run in overtime to win the game.
Yohanner Sifontes (192-G-1995) led the way with 14 points and Anyelo Cisneros (200-F-1997) netted 13. Jose Ascanio (204-F-1996) followed them with 11 points in a win. Felipe Haase (206-F-1998, college: Southern Miss) replied with 22 points in the losing effort.
