Uruguay will head to AmeriCup with the win over Paraguay at the 2025 AmeriCup Qualifiers. They posted a 107-60 win to finish with a 4-2 record. Paraguay ended up winless with a 0-6 record.
The home side grabbed a 30-12 lead at the start and dominated the whole game. They added massive 29-12 and 23-9 rallies respectively in the third and the last stanzas to seal the win.
Nicola Pomoli (195-G/F-1999) led the way with 14 points and Gonzalo Iglesias (203-F-1993) poured in 13. Emiliano Serres (204-F-1997) netted 12, whilst Santiago Vescovi (191-G-2001, college: Tennessee) and Joaquin Rodriguez (199-F-2003) had 11 each. Rodney Mercado (191-SF-1999) replied with 16 points in a loss and Franco Benitez (199-F-1994) nailed 15.
