USA stormed past Belize for the second straight win in Buenos Aires. USA secured a comfortable 74-24 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Eight players scored in double digits for USA. Darius Acuff (188-PG-2006) recorded 23 points, while Christopher Brown (188-G-2006) added 19 points for USA. Ian Parham (196-G-2006) replied with 12 points for Belize.

Puerto Rico - Canada 54-93
Canada opened win count at the tournament as they toppled Puerto Rico. The North American side grabbed a 59-33 halftime lead. They held Puerto Rico to just 21 points in the second half to race to the win. Matthew Dann (213-C-2006) posted 18 points, while Jalen Roane (189-G-2006) added 15 points for the winners. Alejandro Aviles (206-C/F-2006) answered with 11 points for Puerto Rico.

Brazil - Argentina 74-66
Brazil clinched the first win in Group B. They upset hosting Argentina to improve at 1-1 record. Argentina eked out a 33-32 halftime lead. But Brazil followed with a strong 42-33 second half run to snatch the win. Patrick Perna (191-SF-2007) hauled in 21 points, while Enrico Borio (198-F-2006) added 16 points and 12 rebounds for Brazil. Tyler Kropp (204-PF-2007) responded with 26 points and 13 rebounds for the home side.

Dominican Republic - Venezuela 99-63
Dominican Republic cruised past Venezuela to take 2-0 record in Group A. Danny Carbuccia (185-G-2006) tossed in 19 points and issued 7 assists for the winners. Dominican Republic recorded a 44-37 halftime lead. They followed with a 26-6 run in the fourth period to race to the win. Lucas Morillo (201-G-2007) topscored with 24 points for Dominican Republic. Jeiminson Marquez (198-F-2006) answered with 22 points for Venezuela.
