The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (9-5) on the court of eighth ranked Rayos de Hermosillo on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Rayos de Hermosillo 87-86. Hermosillo made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American guard Cameron Gooden (182-1998, college: Utah Tech) scored 25 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Hermosillo (6-6) moved-up to seventh place. Obregon at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Tijuana. Hermosillo are looking forward to face higher ranked Astros (#6) in Guadalajara in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Obregon will play on the road against Culiacan (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
Very significant was Los Mochis' (#7) 98-85 road victory against 6th ranked Angeles. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Angeles. Americans were the main players on the court. Jared Wilson-Frame (196-1996, college: Pittsburgh) notched 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Arnett Moultrie supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Even 25 points by swingman Trahson Burrell (201-1992, college: Memphis) did not help to save the game for Angeles. Los Mochis (7-7) moved-up to fifth place. Angeles at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Rayos de Hermosillo's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Justin Moss produced 22 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Hermosillo moved-up to seventh place. Loser Halcones de Ciudad Obregon still keeps top position with five games lost. They share it with Tijuana. Hermosillo will meet at home higher ranked Astros (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Obregon will play against Culiacan (#10) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 10: Los Mochis were destroyed by Angeles on the opponent's court 115-84. Tijuana managed to outperform Mazatlan in a home game 91-88. Bottom-ranked Culiacan recorded a loss to Guaymas on the road 105-92. Toros were defeated by Frayles on its own court 85-95. Mazatlan was beaten by Tijuana in a road game 107-98. Guaymas lost to Culiacan at home 87-89. Frayles unfortunately lost to Toros on the opponent's court 87-101.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 22 points and 8 rebounds by Jordan Glynn of Toros.




Angeles - Los Mochis 115-84

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis' (7-7) road loss to sixth ranked Angeles (6-8) 84-115 on Friday. Angeles looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Los Mochis' players. Americans were the main players on the court also this time.
