LNBPF Round 6 of Regular Season

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in LNBPF. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most shocking disappointment of round 6 was a home defeat of 5th ranked Santas (2-10) to sixth ranked Correcaminos (3-9) 72-68. It ended the two-game winning streak of Santas. Correcaminos made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Santas turnovers. American center Dorie Harrison (190-1998, college: Lipscomb) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Gabby Cooper (178, college: Syracuse) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Correcaminos' coach Jordi Vizcaino used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American center Jillian Hollingshead (196-2003, college: Tennessee) with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Correcaminos moved-up to fifth place. Santas at the other side dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Abejas and Freseras. Correcaminos are looking forward to face Freseras (#7) in Irapuato in the next round. Santas will play on the road against Abejas in Leon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Monterrey. Third ranked host Fuerza Regia (10-2) defeated 4th ranked El Calor (7-5) 84-77. American-South Sudanese guard Delicia Washington (178-1997, college: Clemson) notched 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Destiny Pitts supported her with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) did not help to save the game for El Calor. El Calor's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fuerza Regia have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Adelitas. El Calor lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with five games lost. Fuerza Regia will play against league's second-placed Adelitas in Chihuahua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. El Calor will play at home against the league's leader Panteras and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Adelitas rolled over Freseras on the road 91-61. Panteras crushed Abejas on its own court 85-55. Adelitas smashed Freseras in Chihuahua 85-61.

Panteras - Abejas 110-65

Very expected game in Aguascalientes where 5th ranked Abejas (2-10) were crushed by top-ranked Panteras (12-0) 110-65 on Wednesday. Panteras looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Dominican forward Esmery Martinez (188-2000, college: Arizona) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field).
