Kelley's 26 points give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

35-year old American forward Shae Kelley (185-F-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for Cangrejeras de Santurce and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 3.
She had the game-high 26 points adding four rebounds and four assists for Cangrejeras in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Cariduros (#9, 1-5) with 45-point margin 99-54. Cangrejeras is placed at 4th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Cangrejeras will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. Kelley turned to be Cangrejeras' top player in her first season with the team. University of Minnesota graduate has very impressive stats this year. Kelley is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.6ppg. Kelley is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.8rpg), assists (9th best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 57.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last week was Honesty Scott-Grayson (175-G-2000) of Ganaderas de Hatillo. She is American guard in her first season at Ganaderas. In the last game Scott-Grayson recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Ganaderas was edged by Pollitas (4-1) 69-68. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next week. Scott-Grayson is a newcomer at Ganaderas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 6.3rpg and 4.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Ganaderas' star - guard Dontavia Waggoner (183-G-2001). Waggoner scored 27 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Waggoner's great performance the Ganaderas de Hatillo lost 84-96 to Criollas (#1, 5-1). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Ganaderas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Waggoner she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Waggoner has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.2ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 9.2rpg (7th best). Waggoner attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.
