Kelley number one in Puerto Rico BSNF for week 4

American Forward Shae Kelley (185-F-1991) had a great game in the last week for Cangrejeras de Santurce, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 4.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 17 rebounds, while her team in a lost game to Atenienses (#2, 4-1) 68-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Cangrejeras is placed at 4th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Cangrejeras will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 3-2 record. Kelley turned to be Cangrejeras' top player in her first season with the team. Former University of Minnesota star has very solid stats this year. Kelley is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.6ppg. Kelley is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.8rpg), assists (9th best: 4.8apg) and averages impressive 1.2bpg and 57.8% FGP.

The second best player in last week's games was young American center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-C-1994) of Monarcas Juana Diaz. McGee-Stafford had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds. Of course Monarcas cruised to a 81-73 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Explosivos (#5, 3-2). Despite this victory they still are the league outsider. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Monarcas managed to get this year. McGee-Stafford is a newcomer at Monarcas, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last week was international guard Nina De Leon (168-G-2003) of Pollitas de Isabela (#3). De Leon showcased her all-around game by recording 15 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 10 assists (!!!) in the last week. She was a key player of Pollitas, leading her team to a 68-63 win against the lower-ranked Leonas (#7, 1-3). Pollitas is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... De Leon has a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.8apg (2nd best).

10. Tess Amundsen (185-F-1999) of Monarcas - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
