Teana Muldrow gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSNF

American Teana Muldrow (188-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for Gigantes de Carolina and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 8.
The 29-year old forward had a double-double of 18 points and 19 rebounds, while her team crushed Isabela (#5, 3-4) with 21-point margin 76-55. Gigantes maintains the 4th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Carolina will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Muldrow had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Gigantes and it's hard to imagine this team without her. West Virginia University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Muldrow is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.6ppg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 59.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American power forward Ruth Sherrill (188-F/C-1994) of league's best team Montaneras de Morovis. Sherrill impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds. Of course she led Montaneras to another comfortable win 85-69 over the lower-ranked San German (#8, 2-5) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Morovis to move up to 1st position in the standings. Her team has currently 6-3 record. Sherrill is a newcomer at Morovis and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last week was American Alexis Jennings (190-F-1996) of Explosivos de Moca (#7). Jennings scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Moca, leading her team to a 77-62 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Lares (#6, 3-5). Jennings has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 12.3rpg (#1 in league).

7. Anastasia Warren (173-G) of Isabela - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Chelsea Mitchell (175-G-1997) of Morovis - 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Kamaria McDaniel (178-G-1999) of Santurce - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Pamela Rosado (165-PG-1986) of Morovis - 17 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists
