Mikayla Pivec's triple-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

American Guard Mikayla Pivec (178-G-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for Pollitas de Isabela, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 13.
The 27-year old player recorded a triple-double of 31 points adding also 18 rebounds and 11 assists, while her team in a lost game to Morovis (#3, 8-4) 99-103. Pollitas moved-up to the 7th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. Isabela is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 9th lost game this season out of 13 games. In the team's last game Pivec had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. She turned to be Pollitas's top player in her first season with the team. Mikayla Pivec averages just after three games 21.3ppg, 12.3rpg and 8.0apg.

The second best player in last week's games was young American Alexis Jennings (190-F-1996) of Explosivos de Moca. Jennings had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Moca cruised to a 81-70 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Santurce (#1, 11-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Moca consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. Her team's 7-6 record is not bad at all. Jennings is one of the most experienced players at Moca and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.7ppg (#1). She also registered 11.1 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last week was American forward Shae Kelley (185-F-1991) of league's top team Cangrejeras de Santurce. Kelley scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She was a key player of Cangrejeras, leading her team to a 86-78 win against the lower-ranked Lares (#6, 4-8). Many experts and fans count Santurce as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 11 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Kelley has a very solid season. In 12 games in Puerto Rico she scored 16.9ppg. She also has 9.2rpg, 2.7spg and a FGP of 55.2%.
