McGee-Stafford number one in Puerto Rico BSNF for week 7 (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-C-1994) put on an amazing game in the last week for Monarcas Juana Diaz, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 7.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds, while her team in a lost game to Yauco (3-3) 77-78. Monarcas maintains the 6th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. Monarcas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 3rd lost game this season out of 6 games. In the team's last game McGee-Stafford had a remarkable 56.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Monarcas' top player in her first season with the team. Imani McGee-Stafford averages just after three games 26.3ppg, 13.7rpg and 5.0apg.

The second best player in last week's games was young Danish Okako Adika (183-G/F-1996) of Ganaderas de Hatillo. Adika had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Hatillo cruised to a 69-62 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Manati (#8, 2-3). Despite this victory Hatillo slide down in the standings to 3rd position. Her team's 4-3 record is not bad at all. Adika is well-known at Hatillo and is a proven leader in her second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last week was American forward Alexis Jennings (190-F/C-1996) of league's second-best Explosivos de Moca. Jennings scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Moca, leading her team to a 77-68 win against #4 ranked Santurce in a game of the week. Moca needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Jennings has a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 9.2rpg (8th best).
