Fuehring's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

28-year old American center Samantha Fuehring (191-C-1997) put on an amazing game in the last week for league's best team Explosivos de Moca and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 12.
She had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while her team edged out Manati (#6, 4-5) 99-98. It allowed Moca to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican BSNF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Moca has a very solid 8-3 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Fuehring had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be Moca's top player in her first season with the team. University of Louisville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fuehring is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last week was Talia von Oelhoffen (180-G-2002, agency: Next Page Sports) of Leonas de Ponce. She is American guard in her first season at Leonas. In the last game von Oelhoffen recorded an impressive 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Leonas cruised to a 81-74 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Monarcas (#8, 4-6). This victory allowed Leonas to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 9th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. von Oelhoffen is a newcomer at Leonas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.9ppg (#2). Her other stats are also decent: 6.3rpg and 7.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-C-1994) of Monarcas Juana Diaz (#8). McGee-Stafford scored 24 points and grabbed 23 rebounds (!!!). Despite McGee-Stafford's great performance the Monarcas lost 74-81 to slightly lower-ranked Leonas (#9, 3-7). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. McGee-Stafford has a very solid season. In 7 games in Puerto Rico she scored 25.9ppg. She also has 17.4rpg, 4.4apg, 2.9bpg and a FGP of 51.7%.
