St. Kitts and Nevis wrote a new chapter in the Federation's basketball history, capturing the inaugural ANOECS Under-23 men's 3-on-3 championship with an up-tempo 20-15 win over St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the final in Tortola on May 17.
Staged at the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Road Town and organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees of the OECS with the British Virgin Islands Olympic Committee, the six-nation event also featured the BVI, Dominica, St. Lucia and Grenada. The SKNABA-backed national side was dominant throughout, opening with a 21-11 win over Dominica, hammering St. Vincent and the Grenadines 21-8 in group play and then beating the host BVI 21-10 in the semifinals before holding off the Vincentians in a final that had been tied 8-8.
The hero was J'aven Osbourne, who poured in a game-high 12 points in the final and led all scorers across the tournament with 43. Head coach Sheldon Chiverton Blake credited preparation and in-game adjustments for the triumph, while Sports Minister Samal Duggins hailed it as a proud moment reflecting the rising potential of the Federation's young players.
The 3x3 breakthrough capped a strong year for St. Kitts basketball on the regional stage. In December 2025, the St. Kitts club Sandy Point Falcons traveled to Montserrat and won the Montserrat Basketball Invitational, beating the BVI's Skillful Ballers in the final further evidence of the Federation's growing presence in Caribbean hoops.
