Argentina clinch South America Championship 2024 title in Chile. They revenged for the last year upset at home court beating Brazil 84:76.
Brazil opened the game with a 29-20 run and led 7 points at the halftime. Argentina meanwhile tied it all after an 18-11 rally in the third quarter and dominated the court in the last stanza.
Melisa Gretter (166-PG-1993) and Amaiquen Siciliano (170-G-1999, college: Bishop's) top-scored for the winners with 16 points each, whilst Florencia Chagas (180-PG-2001) netted 11. Emanuely De Oliveira (178-F-1999, college: Florida) replied with 23 points in the losing effort and Caca Martins collected 14 points, 14 assists and 5 rebounds.
