Brazil rallied past Paraguay for the second win in a row in Tunja. Brazil grabbed a 44:39 halftime lead. They unleashed 56 points in the second half to ease to the victory. Jaqueline de Paula (178-F-86) produced 27 points, while Clarissa Dos Santos (185-C-88, agency: ProDep Management) added 25 points and 15 rebounds in the win. Tamara Insfran (175-G/F-89, college: Cumberland) replied with 17 points for Paraguay.
Chile - Venezuela 60-77
Venezuela toppled Chile to open win count at the championship. Venezuela grabbed a 36:32 halftime lead. They went on a 20:12 run in the third term to post a 12-point lead and never looked back en route to the win. Daniela Wallen (180-SF-95, college: Oklahoma City) stepped up with 27 points for the winners. Tatiana Gomez (192-C-81) replied with 18 points for Chile.

Argentina - Peru 78-33
Argentina thumped Peru to improve at 2-0 record in Group B. Argentina opened a 37:26 halftime advantage. They went on a stunning 22:1 run in the third term to clear off for good. Andrea Boquete (183-SF-90) provided 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Ana Farfan (165-PG-93) had 15 points for Peru.
Ecuador - Colombia 39-75
Colombia fired past Ecuador to stay perfect at home championship. Colombia dominated from start to finish. They piled up a 40:15 halftime lead. The hosts followed with a 20:3 run in the fourth term to seal the win. Mayra Caicedo (162-PG-00) delivered 19 points, while Jenifer Munoz (170-G-91) added 14 points for Colombia. Marjorie Caicedo (180-PF-90) had 11 points for Ecuador.
