Colombia stepped onto pedestal in Chile at the South America Championship 2024. They overcame Venezuela 68-62 in the game for the third place.
Colombia won the opening period 25-21 and added massive 21-10 surge in the second quarter. Venezuela managed to win both periods in the second half to reduce to final 6 at the end.
Yuliany Paz (195-F-2000) led the way with 24 points and Mabel Martínez followed her with 15. Brianna Herlihy (183-F-1998, college: Villanova) collected 19 points and 14 rebounds in the losing case.
