Bigua adds Christmas to their roster

Atletico Bigua Montevideo (LUB) has added 32-year-old power forward Rakeem Christmas from the U.S. Virgin Islands to their roster. Christmas, who stands at 206cm and weighs 113kg, previously played for Syracuse in college. He most recently played for Santos in the Mexican LNBP.
In 2015, he was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) in the second round, 36th overall. He graduated from Syracuse University and is currently in his ninth season in professional basketball. He was also a member of the U.S. Virgin Islands Senior National Team from 2021 to 2022.
He has played professionally in Australia for the New Zealand Breakers, in China for Henan, in the Dominican Republic for Marineros, Plaza, Dosa, and Pueblo Nuevo, in Mexico, in the Philippines for the Hotshots, in Puerto Rico for Capitanes, Cangrejeros, and Mets, in Taiwan for Yulon Luxgen, in Turkey for Galatasaray and Ormanspor, in Venezuela for Cocodrilos, in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers, in the NBA G League for the Indiana Mad Ants, and in The Basketball Tournament for Boeheim's Army.
In 2022, he played in the final of the Venezuelan SLB and received numerous awards. Additionally, he was voted to the D-League All-Star Game in 2016.
