Marcus Georges-Hunt (ex Liaoning FL) joins Bursaspor

Bursaspor Basketbol (BSL) agreed terms with 31-year old USA-U.S. Virgin Islands forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196cm-97kg-1994, college: Georgia Tech, agency: JCK Sports Group). He started the season at Liaoning Flying Leopards in Chinese CBA league. In 10 games he had 4.1ppg and 1.5rpg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Georges-Hunt was a member of the USA Under 19 National Team in 2013.
He is quite an experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in eight different countries. Georges-Hunt tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Asia, Latin America, and of course North America. He has played professionally in China (Jiangsu Dragons, Blue Whales, and Loong Lions), Kuwait (Kuwait), Lebanon, Puerto Rico (Mets), NBA (Boston Celtics, Miami Georges-Huntat, Orlando Magic, and Minnesota Timberwolves), United Arab Emirates (Shabab Al Ahli), NBA G League (Iowa Wolves, College Park SkyHawks, and Maine Celtics), and NBA Summer League (Atlanta Hawks).
Among many awards, he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Basketball Champions League Asia Forward of the Year in 2024.
He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016 and is currently in his tenth season as a professional player.
