Atenas - Sayago 89-77 Atenas' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Sayago (0-3) 89-77. Atenas players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American swingman Daniel Dingle (200-94, college: Temple) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Nicolas Catala (200-91) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Dingle is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Atenas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Gilbert Talbot (208-94, college: LSUA) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Calvin Warner (201-80, college: Jacksonville) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Atenas (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Capitol. It was Sayago's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Hebraica's 34. They outrebounded Hebraica 30-19 including a 23-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Urunday Univ. shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyrone Lee (206-90, college: GVSU) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Mauro Zubiaurre (190-94) chipped in 25 points and 6 assists. Four Urunday Univ. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Andres Aristimuno (184-92) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively.
