Bivins' 24 points and 8 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award

29-year old forward Antonio Bivins (198-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for U.Atletica and receives a Hoops Agents Metropolitan Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 24 points adding eight rebounds for U.Atletica in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Danubio (#10, 3-5) 82-80. U.Atletica maintains the 7th position in Uruguayan Metropolitan. U.Atletica is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Bivins had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be U.Atletica's top player in his first season with the team. University of Massachusetts - Lowell graduate has very impressive stats this year. Third place about best performers goes to forward Martin Chervo (200-F-92) of Danubio (#10). Chervo scored 21 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Chervo's great performance Danubio lost 80-82 to the higher-ranked U.Atletica (#7, 4-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Danubio not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Chervo could try to bring Danubio's a little bit higher in the standings. Chervo has individually a great season in Uruguay. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (5th best).
