Anthony Danridge gets MVP of the Week award for Uruguayan LUB- March 30, 2022
The 35-year old forward had a double-double of 40 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team was edged out by Urunday (#13, 7-18) 91-89. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. O.Mundial maintains the 12th position in Uruguayan LUB. O.Mundial is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 17th lost game this season out of 25 games. In the team's last game Danridge had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be O.Mundial's top player in his first season with the team. University of New Mexico graduate has very impressive stats this year. Danridge is in league's top in points (4th best: 21.8ppg). The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American shooting guard JC Fuller (194-SG-1994, agency: Slash Sports) of Urunday. Fuller impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 43 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Urunday to edge slightly higher-ranked O.Mundial (#12, 8-17) by 2 points 91-89. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Urunday keeps 13th position. 18 lost games are too many comparing to just seven victories Urunday managed to get this year. Fuller is one of the most experienced players at Urunday and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. The third best performed player last round was Venezuelan Nestor Colmenares (200-C-1987, agency: Pro Sports) of top-ranked GOESGOE. Colmenares scored 22 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Goes, leading his team to a 74-69 win against the lower-ranked Malvin (#6, 14-11). Goes confirms their top position in the standings. Colmenares has a great season in Uruguay. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.1rpg (3rd best). Other top performing players last week: 4.
