Malvin tabs Marcel Jones, ex Airs- October 8, 2022

Part of last season he spent at Qadsia (D1) in Kuwaiti league. Jones also played for Sitra Club (Premier League) in Bahrain league. In 2008 he was drafted by Iowa Energy (D-League) in fourth round (50th overall). The former Oregon State star is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball. He is a very experienced player. Jones has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to fourteen different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally also in Bosnia (HKK Zrinjski HT Mostar), Finland, Germany, Italy (Cantu and Biella), Kosovo (Prishtina and Bashkimi), Qatar (Al Gharafa), Romania (Pitesti), Saudi Arabia (Al Ittihad), Slovenia (Joneslios Suns), Syria (Al Wahda), Turkey (Akhisar Bld), United Kingdom and Bahrain (Al-Ahli, Al-Riffa and Al-Ittihad) and New Zealand (Rangers, Jets, Rams and Huskies). He was voted to Australiabasket.com All-New Zealand NBL Forward of the Year in 2016, 2017 and 2020. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Malvin.
