LSB Round 3 of Semi-Finals. Ferro CS and Nacional take leads- November 19, 2022
Ferro CS - Salto Uru. 82-73 Nacional FC - Juventus 76-63 Nacional FC outrebounded Juventus 45-30 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Juventus were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jeremy Ireland (200-1996, college: Elmhurst) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds. Power forward Gaston de los Santos (196-1992) accounted for 22 points and 9 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side. Ireland is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Eduardo Taure (186-1984) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Colombian forward Diego Altamiranda (201-2001) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Juventus in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
