The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Goes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Goes defeated 12th ranked Olimpia in Montevideo 90-84. Goes looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. At the losing side American forward Delwan Graham (200-1988, college: Jacksonville, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Bigua. Olimpia lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with six games lost. Olimpia will play next round against L.Borges trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo - L.Borges. Goes will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Penarol. It will be extra interesting game as Penarol is their local rival from Montevideo.

It was an exceptional evening for American Donald Sims (190-1987, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 9 assists. Victor Rudd accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds for Malvin in the defeat. Bigua have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Goes. Malvin at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Aguada. Bigua's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Urunday.

Hebraica's coach Leonardo Zylberstein used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gary McGhee produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for lost side. Hebraica maintains eleventh place with 2-5 record. Loser Nacional dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena .

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: Urunday lost to Aguada on the opponent's court 67-74. Defensor managed to outperform Penarol in a home game 70-56. Urupan recorded a loss to Trouville on the road 98-89.



Aguada - Urunday 74-67

Rather expected game in Montevideo where 10th ranked Urunday (2-4) was defeated by eighth ranked Aguada (4-3) 74-67 on Monday. American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) fired 18 points for the winners. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) chipped in 8 points and 14 rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-1985, college: NM State) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 22 rebounds and American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Urunday players scored in double figures. Urunday's coach Hector Da Pra rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aguada moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Malvin. Loser Urunday keeps the tenth position with four games lost. Aguada will meet Urupan (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
