Liga Sudamericana - Aguada adds Genesis Rivera to their roster, ex Caribenas

Atletico Aguada (Liga Femenina) added to their roster 27-year old Venezuelan ex-international swingman Genesis Rivera (180cm-1996, college: UMass) for season 2023. Rivera played last summer at Caribenas in Venezuelan SLB league. In 15 games she recorded 15.0ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5spg and 1.0bpg. She helped them to win the Superliga title. Quite impressive season as she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan Superliga Second Team.
Rivera was also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. She played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2015 and 2021 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2013.
Rivera also represented Venezuela at the South American Championship in Tunja (Colombia) five years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: 1.6ppg, 2.8rpg.
She has played also professionally in Chile and Puerto Rico.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was selected to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Femenina Honorable Mention back in 2019.
Rivera graduated from University of Massachusetts in 2019 and it will be her fifth season as a professional player.
